One minute with less input
Turn the phone face down if you do not need it for safety. Mute one sound, leave the room or ask for a two-minute pause. You are not escaping life; you are giving your nervous system fewer things to sort at once.
Then notice three clear contact points: feet on the floor, back against the chair or hand on the table. Quietly describe what you feel without judging it.
